Our History

History of Carter De Costa & Company, Chartered Accountants dates back to 1938 when the firm Carter and Craddock, Chartered Accountants was formed by George Christian Carter, a British Chartered Accountant. The name of the firm was changed to Carter De Costa & Company in 1942. The main office of the firm is located at No. 18-1/2, State Bank of India Building, Sir Baron Jayathilaka Mawatha, (formerly known as Prince Street) Colombo 01.

Our Philosophy

At Carter, we believe in the highest level of ethical standards in conducting business. Continuous service improvement, evaluating customer feedback and a learning environment are cornerstones in our philosophy.

Our Commitment 

We support SLSQC1 (Sri Lanka Standard on Quality Control) implemented by CA Sri Lanka in maintaining Quality Standards in Auditing. We are one of the first  Audit Firms that underwent initial evaluation process under this scheme.
